Vindication and Victory

God is on my side

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; then over us would have gone the raging waters (Psalms 124:2-5).

We have escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped! Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth (Psalms 124:7-8).

His right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory. The LORD has made known his victory, he has revealed his vindication in the sight of the nations. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God (Psalms 98:1-3).

Prayer

Lord, take me out of the net which is hidden for me, for you are my refuge. Into your hands I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O LORD, my faithful God. You have not delivered me into the hands of my enemies but instead have set my feet in a broad place.

Always be gracious to me, O LORD, most especially in times of distress where my eyes is only wasted from grief, my soul and my body also. In the covert of your presence, hide me from the plots of men; and hold me safe under Your shelter from the strife of tongues.

With You, I stand strong, and my heart take courage, believing in faith that I am not alone as I wait upon you my LORD to vindicate me and give me victory from the hands of those who wish to destroy me. All these I humbly ask and pray, in Jesus Name. Amen (Psalms 31: 4 - 5, 8 - 9, 20, 24 - 25)
